About My Work

I started getting interested in photography back in 2010 when I got my first big boy DSLR, a Nikon D90. Back in 2015/2016, I developed (no pun intended;-) a passion for neutral density (nd) photography. The process uses very dark filters to slow down exposure time during the daytime. In doing so, some very surreal effects can be achieved, especially in clouds. I am using this technique in much of my work lately which consists of architecture and landscape shots.

More recently I started getting into infrared (IR) photography. I had a spare camera that was not getting used much at all so I had it converted to shoot only in the infrared spectrum at 590nm specifically. I seem to be drawn to photography that is not mainstream. As with the ND photography the IR effect looks otherwordly and surreal.

I also still do some regular mountain vistas, landscapes and other types of photography such as macro, without the ND filters or IR camera.
